What are your previous professional experiences?

I worked in the Italian food and wine industry for 25 years, both as an importer of Italian food and wine products to Japan and marketing Italian wineries throughout Asia.

Why organic? Why do you believe in SOLLEONE Organic?

I have five children, who have been my inspiration in creating the SOLLEONE Bio brand and the backbone of my vision and values. In researching how to better nourish them, I understood how, over the last hundred years, humankind has developed eating habits and agricultural practices that are simply unsustainable, both for our health and for the planet. Organic farming is not a choice. It is a necessity. It is a basic requirement for a healthy lifestyle and a happy planet. What I wanted to create, however, was not just an organic brand, but one that also represented uncompromising quality. The industrialization of food has not only poisoned the earth and our bodies, but it has also led to the abandonment of traditional production techniques that have always prioritized quality over shortcuts. Now, however, we add pectin to jams to halve the amount of fruit used; we genetically modify the grains used to make pasta to make it cheaper; We heat-treat honey to make it more liquid and transparent, and therefore more appealing, although this has negative effects on the nutritional qualities of the honey itself. Harvesting is done in bulk, ignoring the fact that each fruit—even on the same plant—ripens at a different rate. Perfection cannot be achieved if the entire harvest is processed together without considering the ripeness of each individual fruit. Therefore, my vision of a healthier lifestyle and a greener planet is definitely organic. But just as importantly, avoid taking shortcuts. SOLLEONE Organic products will taste as food should. Natural. They will provide all the necessary nutrition using only the Earth's natural bounty. Respect for the environment, the farmer, and the animals. With these values in mind, we want to offer our customers food choices that will lead them to a more balanced life. And, in the meantime, help save the planet.
